Our team provided architectural design and construction administration services for extensive exterior repairs. The scope of work included comprehensive façade repairs and the reconstruction of deteriorated parapet elements,  addressing long-standing weathering and safety concerns at the building envelope. It also included a significant emphasis on stone repair and selective stone replacement.

The project required careful evaluation of deteriorated stone elements, judicious decisions regarding repair versus replacement, and close coordination with contractors to ensure that new materials were seamlessly integrated into the existing historic fabric while meeting LPC requirements and long-term durability expectations.

Original Construction: Early 20th century (c. 1905–1915)

Construction Type: Solid masonry bearing-wall building with brick façade and ornamental stone detailing

Landmark Status: Located within an LPC-designated Historic District (Harlem)
