300 Cadman Plaza | Brooklyn, NYC

Our team provided architectural and structural coordination services for the comprehensive reconstruction of sidewalk and vault structures at all street frontages of 300 Cadman Plaza West, including work beneath sidewalks, areas of vault space, and a portion of the adjacent plaza. Unlike typical vault projects limited to a single frontage, this scope encompassed the entire perimeter of the building, significantly increasing logistical and technical complexity.

A critical aspect of the project involved navigating the process with the MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority), as a subway line runs directly adjacent and below one side of the building. The work required careful investigation, sequencing, and detailing to address deteriorated structural elements while protecting transit infrastructure below.

Original Construction: Mid–late 20th century

Construction Type: Reinforced concrete and steel-framed residential building with sidewalk vaults, on-grade sidewalk structures, and plaza deck construction
