Chef and restaurateur José Garces brought his celebrated Spanish restaurant and tapas bar, Amada, to New York City with a new location at Brookfield Place. Caseworks served as Architect of Record, collaborating with AvroKO on design and Shawmut Design and Construction on delivery. The project involved extensive coordination, detailed documentation, and management of required approvals.

Client Vision:
Unify a large multi-function 7,000-square-foot restaurant space which includes an expansive dining room with a mix of open and booth seating, a private dining area, two bars, along with a coffee shop with a dedicated street entrance
Reimagine an exterior dining area and reconfigure a storefront with a new, welcoming entry along Vesey Street

Served as AOR, becoming an oversight hub to coordinate and manage all design principals, create detailed documentation of plans to ensure compliance, and secure all required approvals
Designed and detailed the steel and wood pergola and planters for the outdoor seating area
