James (Jim) Bush
Construction & Building Operations Manager | Director of Drone Services

James Bush brings more than thirty years of experience in New York City’s commercial and residential real estate industry, with deep expertise in building operations, engineering, capital improvements, and project management. His career spans roles as a Chief Engineer, Director of Building Operations, VP of Capital Projects, and senior project manager for major property owners and managers across the city.

Jim leads caseworks’ drone services program as a licensed FAA drone pilot, conducting high-resolution inspections of façades, roofs, terraces, and complex geometries. His drone work supports FISP compliance, PIPS evaluations, waterproofing investigations, and envelope diagnostics, enabling safe, efficient, and highly detailed assessments of buildings that are difficult or costly to access by traditional means.

In his broader project management role, Jim has overseen major modernization programs, façade and envelope rehabilitation, mechanical upgrades, violations removal, environmental remediation, tenant improvements, and property repositioning for millions of square feet of Class A office and multifamily buildings. His background includes extensive experience managing capital improvements, coordinating phased work in occupied environments, and leading pre-acquisition inspections and due diligence efforts.

Before joining caseworks, Jim held leadership positions at Stonehenge Management, Thor Equities, Max Capital Management, and Mendik Realty. His early career as a Stationary Operating Engineer and later Chief Engineer provides him with a rare, hands-on understanding of building systems, operations, and long-term performance, critical insight that informs his approach to restoration and construction oversight today.

Jim’s blend of engineering, operations, code compliance, and drone-based diagnostics strengthens caseworks’ ability to deliver projects grounded in both technical rigor and the practical realities of how buildings function day-to-day.
