John Barry serves as Senior Technical Director at caseworks, bringing a deeply grounded expertise in building-envelope systems, waterproofing, roofing, façade restoration, and structural repair. With decades of hands-on experience and a strong foundation in the sciences, he has developed a finely tuned understanding of how materials age, deteriorate, and perform over time under the complex conditions unique to New York City.

Over his career, John has worked across the full spectrum of restoration and construction practice; from field installation and diagnostics with major restoration contractors, to managing structural repairs for parking garages and concrete systems, as well as façade and envelope rehabilitation within architecture and engineering firms. This breadth of experience enables him to diagnose complex envelope problems, design durable restoration and waterproofing solutions, and oversee their careful execution, ensuring long-term performance and reliability.

John’s portfolio spans countless façades, roofs, plazas, parking structures, and historic building envelopes throughout NYC. At caseworks, he leads diagnostic evaluations, materials analysis, repair program development, and construction-phase oversight while acting as the firm’s anchor for restoration integrity and envelope performance.
