Gabriel Albano, P.E., QPSI
Director of Structural Engineering

Gabriel Albano is a licensed engineer, educator, and QPSI with more than twenty-five years of experience designing, evaluating, and rehabilitating structural systems for buildings and infrastructure across New York City and internationally. His work spans complex concrete and steel structures, parking and PIPS-regulated facilities, plazas and podium slabs, adaptive reuse projects, tall buildings, and large-scale renovation programs executed in active, occupied conditions.

Gabriel’s background includes senior roles at global engineering and architecture firms, where he managed structural design and restoration for high-profile projects such as Pier 40, Montefiore Medical Center garages, 2 Herald Square, and major mixed-use and transportation developments in Miami, Kuwait, Seoul, London, and Buenos Aires. His experience ranges from long-span steel framing and seismic core design to structural stabilization, phased rehabilitation, waterproofing integration, and coordination with complex façade and envelope systems.

At caseworks, Gabriel leads the structural engineering practice, providing condition assessments, structural diagnostics, rehabilitation design, and construction-phase oversight. He brings deep expertise in parking structure evaluations, multi-phase repair planning, ADA and life-safety upgrades, and the structural components of FISP, PIPS, and building modifications. His work is defined by technical rigor, clear communication, and a practical understanding of how structures behave over time.

Gabriel holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Structural and Civil Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires, and has taught structural analysis and design at the university level.
